i have been changing a lot recently but i think i have finally settled on someone i could see myself becoming

i guess you can say that i got lost along the way but hey, at least im not dead

the cigarette burns my fingers and stains my lungs as i try desperately to impress people who do not matter

"hey there old friend...i haven't seen you in almost four months...."

i wonder if my absence is caused by my lack of  motivation to create  new ideas or if i am simply just giving up on everything  again

i used to know a girl who had always been told she was going to "achieve great things" so she proved them all wrong by achieving nothing she slept fitfully, never fully, never truly and she had memorized the number of dots composing each fluorescent number on her cheap plastic alarm clock and had memorized every crack, every imperfection on the ceiling and the walls she was fragile with her transparent skin pulled tightly over razor sharp bones i wanted so badly to touch her, to run my fingers along her jagged spine but i knew that even the faintest breeze was stronger than her so i never dared no matter how badly i wanted to s
